Creating a Positive Life In 2019

Hi everyone welcome back to my blog! It has been a while since I last posted, but what better way to start the new year than with a new post! That’s right, it’s officially 2019 and the end of the first week of the new year. Many of us have made our new year’s resolutions, and set goals for ourselves. For me, one of my goals is to have a more positive life, and environment. I’m sure a lot of you can relate, and possibly even want the same thing for yourself, but are a little unsure of where to start. For me personally I would start by purging all negative things from my life which is something you can choose to do too! So here we go:Festive sparkling 2019 New Year date

Bad Habits

I personally would like to cut down on drinking. Me being young I love to go out and have a good time. But I would like to learn how to have fun without having to drink. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE my wine. But alcohol can hurt more than can help on a spiritual level if used excessively. It can wear you down and dull your vibrations, as well as lower your frequency. Not to mention hangovers don’t feel great and make you not want to be productive!

My other bad habit is procrastination. I notice I could be so much further in my blogging career if it wasn’t for this flaw. I have had a couple opportunities to expand, but lost them because of laziness and procrastination! As I stated in the beginning of this post, I have not posted in months. I had the material but just put it off because I simply “wasn’t in the mood to write.” Well this year I am going to break this habit.  I am going to get into the habit of writing everything down, and pre planning everything out. Anyone else struggle with procrastination?

Negative Friends/Family

Cutting people off doesn’t have limits. It can be a friend, significant other, or even a family member. Eliminate anyone who is causing you stress, and keeping you from meeting your full potential. Leave behind the gossip, the pain, and people who constantly need to put you down, in order to build themselves up. Not everyone is meant to stay in your life and that’s ok!  Cutting people off doesn’t mean that you’re rude. It means you are finally setting boundaries, and respecting yourself and energy by getting rid of the vampires in your life. Life is too short for negative people!

Install New Habits and Routines

I am a procrastinator as I have stated above. I take forever to start and finish projects. I also have absolutely no prior order or organization in my life. So if you are like me, than I strongly urge you to implement a daily routine to stay ahead of the game. For instance, I got myself a planner, and a marker board. I want to get into the habit of planning everything out, and writing down my goals along with how I will achieve them. I do believe that good habits, and an even better routine can change your life!

Meditation and Yoga

Last but not least I would like to be more consistent with my Yoga and Meditation practices. I have written in previous posts about the benefits of both of these practices. Both are great tools for dealing with stress, anxiety, negative people, and situations. I find that when I meditate before starting my day I am better equipped to deal with people, and whatever else comes my way. I strongly recommend you try to find at least 5 to 10 min a day to sit down and meditate. It will really change your life!
